What to do when you feel stuck

Anthony Gorman - Thursday, July 30, 2015
We all experience it from time to time. The frustration of living in a compromised fashion can really be a deflating way to spend your days. What causes this? It may be that you've outgrown your home and there is more "stuff" than you have room for? Financial strains are often the worst. You may love where you live but simply can't afford to bring it up to the standard that you want to. Or even worse, the strain of holding onto the property gets too great. What do you do? Fortunately, most of these issues can be resolved and the solution might be easier than you think. The first thing to do is to properly asses your current situation. This may mean you need to arm yourselves with trades quotes or spend some time with a bank manager or finance broker. There's plenty of options with financing and certainly at the moment with interest rates at an all time low, some of these issues can be solved with funding. Like they say, anything is possible with enough time and money! Before you make any moves, get a current market appraisal done on you home. When you understand what value you are currently starting from it can help asses if there is a chance of over capitalisation as well as getting some tips on how you can best achieve the result you are after. We're more than happy to share our years of experience with you to make sure you are moving in the right direction.
